Bayon Temple, one of the most popular sites in Angkor complex and over 200 large faces caved on the 54 towers, which at that time represents the 54 provinces in The Khmer Empire; give this temple its majestic character, Terrace of elephant and Terrace of Leper king.
Then visit the jungle-like temple of Ta Prohm. The movement of the earth beneath distorts the high lichen covered walls. Build in AD 1186 by King Jayavarman VII. 800 years of history lie twisted and broken, with sinister root systems of huge trees enveloping doors and windows in a stranglehold. Trunks of trees twist amongst stone pillars, and spread their gigantic roots over, under and in between the stones, probing walls and terraces apart, make this temple even more extractive. This amazing temple is a photographers dream!

Enjoy the lunch at Local Restaurant.

East Mebone is a large temple-mountain-like ruin, rising three levels and crowned by five towers.
Then we take a drive of about 50 minutes to the most beautiful temple ‘Banteay Srey’ (citadel of the women),’ but this is a modern appellation that probably refers to the delicate beauty of the carvings and displays some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art. Built at a time when the Khmer Empire was gaining significant power and territory, the temple was constructed by a Brahmin counselor under a powerful king, Rajendravarman and later under Jayavarman V.

Enjoy the local style lunch at restaurant.

Then continue to visit NEAK PEAN; a small island temple located in the middle of the last baray (the Preah Khan Baray or Jayatataka) to be constructed by a Khmer king in the Angkor area. The central temple sits at the axis of a cross or lotus pattern of eight pools and coiled serpents, encoiled nagas that encircled the temple. The temple is faced by a statue of the horse, Balaha, saving drowning sailors. Though originally dedicated to Buddha, Neak Pean contains several Hindu images.  During the dry season, the water is low and most photogenic in the wet season.
Near by, Preah Khan (Scared Sword) is a huge, highly explorer able monastic complex. Full of carving, passage made great photo opportunities. It originally served as a Buddhist monastery and school, engaging over 1000 monks. For a short period it was also the residence of King Jayavarman VII . Like most of Jayavarman VII’s monuments, the Buddha images were vandalized in the later Hindu resurgence. Some Buddha carvings in the central corridor have been crudely carved over with Bodhisattvas, and in a couple of odd cases, a lotus flower and a linga.
